Description

Full job description

We’re looking for an experienced and confident Sports Massage Therapist to join our busy team in Leeds city centre.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality treatments and is comfortable working with a wide range of clients — from gym-goers and athletes to people experiencing muscular pain, tightness and general aches and pains.

Requirements

  • A recognised Sports Massage qualification – Level 3 minimum, with Level 4 or above preferred
  • Ideally a minimum of 6 months’ hands-on experience working within a massage, sports therapy or similar clinic environment
  • We would also consider a newly qualified therapist who can demonstrate an excellent standard of hands-on treatment, strong practical skills and confidence working with clients
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and the musculoskeletal system
  • Confident providing both Sports Massage and Deep Tissue Massage
  • Able to assess each client’s individual needs and adapt treatments accordingly
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, reliable and comfortable working independently
  • Excellent standards of hygiene and client care
  • Appropriate professional insurance

Additional qualifications or experience in areas such as injury rehabilitation, exercise prescription, myofascial release, trigger point therapy or cupping would be beneficial but aren’t essential.

Please only apply if you hold a recognised Sports Massage qualification and either have relevant clinic experience or are confident that your practical, hands-on treatment skills are of a high standard. Strong practical ability is essential for this role.

The Role

You’ll carry out client consultations and provide high-quality, individually tailored treatments based on each person’s needs and goals. You’ll be expected to select appropriate treatment techniques, provide relevant aftercare advice and maintain accurate client notes.

We’re particularly looking for someone who takes a treatment-focused approach rather than simply following the same massage routine for every client. You should be confident adapting your treatments, explaining what you’re doing, making clients feel comfortable and building good relationships that encourage repeat bookings.

You’ll be joining an established, experienced and friendly team with a large existing client base and a busy diary. We’re looking for someone who can provide a consistently high standard of treatment and become a reliable part of the team.

If you’re a qualified Sports Massage Therapist with strong hands-on skills and you’re looking to work in a busy, professional clinic environment, we’d love to hear from you.
