Job Description

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an established sports producer, able to set up and produce shoots both in our Manchester studio out on location across the North.
Having the ability to pitch and develop successful ideas is essential, along with a ‘can-do’ attitude that thrives under pressure in fast-paced environments like sports and news.
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail are a must, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. If you’re brilliant at content development, casting, scripting and directing —and know how to sell a great story to wider teams —we want you on board!

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?

One of your first projects will be to direct a brand-new weekly Rugby League show, filmed in our Manchester studio for a new YouTube channel. You’ll take the lead in casting weekly guests, producing in-studio talent, and identifying opportunities for innovative content.
Beyond the show, you’ll pitch, develop and produce exciting content that span sports YT channels, from live streams, vodcasts, shorts and longer-form series’ and exclusives.
Using your knowledge and data insights, you’ll craft content that drives audience engagement, ensuring Reach’s national brands stay at the forefront of digital content.
In meetings, you’re an ideas generator and you’ll play a key role in development sessions with senior editorial teams, helping shape existing and new ideas with strong editorial judgment.
You’ll have experience working across the entire production lifecycle and be adept at briefing videographers, talent, editors and designers to bring your creative vision to life while working on multiple projects and staying ahead of social trends. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with senior producers and strategists based in London. You’ll champion diversity and inclusion, ensuring our content reflects the values of our audience.
