Job Description Versant Media is seeking a seasoned Sports Project Planning Manager to lead and coordinate high-impact production facility design and construction initiatives. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, production experience and a passion for operational excellence in creative and technical environments. Key Responsibilities: Project Management & Execution Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of production facility design and construction Oversee and coordinate sports workflow and innovation projects. Maintain and optimize real-time project management software to ensure visibility, accountability, and timely delivery. Track project milestones, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives. Stakeholder Communication Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders. Facilitate regular status updates, ensuring alignment on timelines, responsibilities, and expectations. Proactively identify and resolve project risks and roadblocks. Financial Coordination Collaborate with Finance to initiate and manage purchase orders, track budgets, and ensure timely vendor payments. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all financial transactions related to creative projects. Production Expertise Apply knowledge of studio and field production environments to anticipate needs and streamline workflows. Ensure all projects adhere to production standards, timelines, and compliance requirements. Qualifications 5+ years experience in project leadership, with a strong understanding of studio and production facilities and field operations. Proven track record in managing complex creative projects from concept to completion. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Airtable, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environment. Experience working with cross-functional teams including creative, technical, finance, and external vendors. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with emerging production technologies. Experience in broadcast facility design and construction. Familiarity with remote production and events. Budget management and vendor negotiation skills. Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
