Striving to be the best social, sports and residential Club in London, the amenities include: 73 bedrooms, fine dining restaurant, brasserie, café, ballroom, 6 function rooms and top of the range sports facilities including a swimming pool, steam room, squash courts, fencing, gym, studio and treatments. The Lansdowne Club, a prestigious Member’s Club in the heart of Mayfair has a fantastic opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic Leisure/ Sports Attendant to join their team.
Reporting to the Head of Sports, you will be working on Sports Reception and you will be the first point of contact for our members therefore a good level of spoken and written English is essential. You will be greeting and welcoming the guest accordance to the agreed procedure.

Responsibilities

· Greet and welcome Members and Guests on their arrival to the Sports reception area, ensuring they have swiped in using their membership card.
· Follow the daily cleaning schedule and ensure high levels of cleanliness throughout all the sports facilities.
· Complete regular floor walks throughout your shift, to include changing rooms, gym, squash courts, exercise studio and surrounding area.
· All sports areas have the correct stock levels in place, and these are restocked at regular intervals.
· Complete a stock take of all retail items at the end of each month.
· Gym equipment and machines are maintained in line with the maintenance schedule.
· Provide show arounds to reciprocal members, guest, and new member of the Club.
· Assist with bookings featured on the sports events calendar.
· To hold a current NPLQ qualification and attend continuous training.
· During times that children are using the pool to remain on poolside in capacity as a Lifeguard.
· To check in all persons using the Sports area and that a Physical, Activeness and Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) form has been completed, along with payment of fees and that this has been recorded onto Jonas correctly.
· Check availability of appointments for the personal trainers, squash instructors, classes, Reformer Pilates, golf simulator and ensuring all bookings and payments are recorded on JAM.
· Assist Members to set up and use golf simulator.
· Ensure that all users of the Sports area are following safety rules/ instructions that have been provided to them.
· Answer all telephone calls/ emails in a professional and efficient manner.
· To attend meetings as required.
· Reconcile the till at 1pm and 5pm each day to ensure taking balance.
· Ensure pool tests are completed at allocated times during the day, results are recorded, and any discrepancies are reported to maintenance immediately.
· That the steam room is checked at allocated times during the day, results are recorded, and any issues are reported to maintenance immediately.
· Attend and complete all statutory and mandatory training as and when directed by your supervisor or a member of the Management Team.
· To work in line with all Standard Operating Procedures that you have been trained in.
· To update posters in the Sports and keep all notice boards tidy and upto date with current information.
· Follow all policies and procedures as set out by The Club, in particular those pertaining to Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Safety, Food Allergens, Staff Handbook, Licensing Laws. GDPR, and Security.
· Be dressed in full, clean, and well-presented uniform as issued to you, to include name badge.
· To adhere to the Company Grooming standards at all times.
· To follow up and provide feedback on member comments, suggestions on any complaints or special requests to your supervisor or Manager.
· Maintaining all Sports areas in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
· Reporting any incidents, which are likely to breach, regulations governing the conduct of licensed premises to your supervisor or Manager immediately.
· Assisting in training of new staff when requested.
· To carry out any other reasonable request made by the Duty Manager, Management, and Members/guests to the best of your ability.
· Resolve any Member or guest complaints where possible or if you are unable to resolve them yourself, refer to the Manager/Duty Manager on duty for assistance.
· To carry out any reasonable additional duties as may be required by the Head of Sports or Assistant Sports Manager team.
· To ensure a high level of liaison and communication is maintained between all departments in the Club.
· At all times maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
· To ensure that the uniform is smart, regularly laundered and correctly always worn including name badge.
· To ensure Club regulations are followed, particularly, the member dress code and adhered to.
· To report any maintenance defects to the Maintenance team & follow up.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment and will not be a stranger to multi-tasking in a busy environment.
Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in the UK in order to be considered for this position. Successful candidate must be confident in the water and will be asked to complete three various tests after the interview in our swimming pool, then Club will enrol a new started into a 5-day life guard qualification outside of the Club.
