The Role
We are seeking a motivated and professional Sports Therapist / Physiotherapist / Soft Tissue Therapist to join our team in South London, working with a dynamic sports and soccer academy (ages 16–19). You will provide pitch-side cover and clinical care, supporting young athletes in both training and competitive environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, as well as contributing to injury prevention and performance support programmes. Initially, the role will require availability on Mondays and Wednesdays, with opportunities to grow the provision and take on additional work across our London network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pitch-side medical cover for academy fixtures and training sessions.
  • Conduct injury assessments, diagnosis, and implement treatment/rehabilitation plans.
  • Deliver clinical care including manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, and exercise prescription.
  • Support athletes with education on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and performance optimisation.
  • Liaise with coaches and academy staff to ensure clear communication regarding player welfare.
  • Maintain accurate injury and treatment records in line with professional standards.
  • Support the growth of Recovery Inc services in London by contributing to new projects, partnerships, and clinical opportunities.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, or a related field.
  • Membership with a recognised professional body (e.g., SST, CSP, BASRaT).
  • Pitch-side first aid qualification (minimum: FA Basic First Aid for Sport or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in sports injury management, ideally with youth or academy athletes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with young players.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
