SPORTS CENTRE ASSISTANT – JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade: SCP 3 £12.85 per hour
Hours: 10.5 hours every Saturday against a fixed rota - 7.45am till 6.15pm. With opportunity for overtime to cover staff leave or sickness.
The Sportshall is generally open from 9am till 10pm weekdays, Saturdays 8am till 6pm and Sundays 8am till 9pm.

• The first face our customers meet when using the Hiltingbury Sportshall
• Supporting customers with bookings and use of the facilities
• Handling account queries and taking payments
• Identifying and maximising opportunities to increase new bookings and retain existing
• Working within health and safety standards to ensure the safe operation of the facilities
• Physically fit to move and handle and move sports equipment as necessary
• Following established processes for stock control and inventory
• Overseeing facilities with regarding cleaning and repairs, reporting and recording when appropriate
• Responsible for minor first aid and fire evacuation procedures – full training given
• Able to think on your feet and be flexible if neede
