Description Red Tail Golf Club is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Spray Technician / Irrigation Technician to join our golf course maintenance team. This position is responsible for the safe and accurate application of fertilizers and plant protectants, as well as assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of the golf course irrigation system. The ideal candidate will have experience in either spray applications or irrigation system maintenance and be willing to develop skills in both areas. This role works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to support the overall agronomic program and maintain high-quality playing conditions. Daily responsibilities may also include assisting with general golf course maintenance operations as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides safely and accurately Calibrate and operate spray equipment including boom sprayers and backpack sprayers Maintain accurate chemical application records and chemical inventory Follow all pesticide handling and safety regulations Assist with irrigation system operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting Repair irrigation heads, valves, pipes, and related components Assist with irrigation scheduling and water management practices Support daily golf course maintenance operations when necessary Operate turf maintenance equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized chemical storage and work area Requirements Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain Experience with turf chemical applications preferred Irrigation system troubleshooting or repair experience preferred Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays during the golf season Valid driver’s license Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
