Description

Responsibilities

Surface Preparation
Sand, clean, and prepare wooden, MDF, veneer, and other joinery surfaces before painting or polishing.
Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections to achieve smooth finishing.
Apply primers, sealers, and undercoats as required.
Spray Painting & Finishing
Operate spray guns, compressors, and other painting tools to apply paint, lacquer, PU, polish, or other finishes.
Mix and match paints, stains, and varnishes to achieve required shades and finishes.
Apply multiple coats as per project specifications, ensuring uniformity and smoothness.
Quality Control
Inspect painted surfaces for runs, sags, uneven coverage, or defects and correct them.
Ensure the final finish meets client/consultant specifications and high-quality standards.
Maintenance of Tools & Equipment
Clean and maintain spray guns, painting equipment, and work areas regularly.
Ensure tools are in proper working condition to avoid delays or defects.
Health & Safety Compliance
Follow all safety guidelines while handling paints, thinners, and chemicals.
Wear appropriate PPE (masks, gloves, goggles, etc.) to maintain a safe working environment.
Teamwork & Coordination
Coordinate with carpenters, polishers, and supervisors to plan painting schedules.
Assist in training helpers or junior staff when required.
Project Execution
Work within project deadlines to deliver completed painted items.
Handle on-site touch-ups, repairs, and finishing as required before final installation.
