Currie Golf Courses is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Spray Technician. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, is a team player, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and appreciates the value of hard work. Duties include but not limited to mix, prepare and apply chemical solutions (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides). The candidate will also keep up with pesticide and fertilizer inventory as well as keeping records of pesticide and fertilizer applications Job Description: * Apply fertilizer and chemical applications * Update spray records, inventory and MSDS sheets  * Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders * General upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment  * Over time be able to start diagnosing pest and fungus issues   Special Requirements:  * Have no problems wearing spray applicator suites, full face respirators, or chemical resistant apparel * Able to lift 50 pounds * Perform simple calculations * Willing to learn * Detail oriented  * Keep area neat and organized  * Have or willing to obtain Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days of employment * Have a Michigan Pesticide license in 3a and/or 3b, or the ability to obtain a Michigan pesticide license in 60 days of employment. * Ability to understand the turf and chemical relationships, rules and regulations and spray safely with the PPE's provided. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Secondary studies in turf, agronomy, or insects is desirable but not necessary.  
Responsibilities
The primary duties involve mixing, preparing, and applying chemical solutions such as insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides to the golf course grounds. Additionally, the technician must maintain accurate inventory records for pesticides and fertilizers and document all applications.
