Where You Will Work: 6B Medical is a specialized medical observation unit designed to manage behavioral health patients in an acute care setting while awaiting transfer to inpatient psychiatric facilities. Our team collaborates closely with emergency room staff, hospitalists, psychiatric liaison providers, and Behavioral Health Patient Placement partners to ensure timely and appropriate transitions for our vulnerable patient population. We care for a diverse group of patients, including those with addiction, Alzheimer’s, brain injuries, trauma, and postpartum mental health conditions. While our primary focus is behavioral health observation, we also provide medical care for patients who require clearance before transfer, utilizing Med/Surg skills in a slower-paced environment than traditional units. We are seeking compassionate, team-oriented nurses with a passion for serving complex patient populations and a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration. We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association What You’ll Do: • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
