  Position Purpose: Interns are given a wide variety of diversified accounting and/or tax assignments under the supervision of different professionals during the internship timeframe and specific tasks provided are based on business needs available at that time.  The Intern supports the Firm’s goals and values through all professional communications and the maintenance of positive working relationships.    Qualifications: Education:  Working toward completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.  Experience:  Working knowledge of basic office technology (Excel and Word). Skills & Abilities:  Must possess the ability to: * work independently or with a team * effectively communicate, in both written and verbal formats * take initiative to accomplish work in a timely manner * ask questions for guidance and direction on tasks to be performed * understand deadlines and expectations relevant to client interactions and work completion * effectively cope with change * demonstrate positive interpersonal relations  * make effective decisions * use discretion in handling general confidential business information * actively analyze problems or challenges and find solutions  * prioritize work * travel for work at client’s offices, meetings and seminars using a personal vehicle. * proficiently use a computer and other general office equipment   The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
