JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: SPYC Dock Attendant
Reports to: Harbor Master
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
SPYC Dock Attendant is responsible for assisting the Dockmaster with the daily operation of both marinas, both fuel docks, and the Snell Isle retail store. He/she is required to operate an efficient operation that maximizes profitability while serving SPYC members,
guests, and the general public.

Job Tasks/Duties

  • Inspects dock, slips, lines, etc., daily.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Alert the Dockmaster of inventory changes or updates .
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping for the profit center, including daily balancing of drawer and

inventory.

  • Demonstrate superb customer service skills.
  • Alert Dockmaster of incidents and accidents
  • Performs other appropriate tasks as directed by Harbor Master.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain reservation system as well as sending confirmation emails

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

  • Knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements of marina facilities and equipment.
  • Knowledge of nautical calculations and terminology.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergency situations.
  • Proficiency with electronic Point of Sale systems and cash-handling

Education and/or Experience

  • CPR, First Aid, AED Certification
  • UST Operator Certification
  • Marine Radio (VHF) Skills
  • Line Handling/Docking Skills
  • Google Drive Proficiency
