Entry-Level Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Responsibilities:

1. Training and Development:

• Participate in training programs to learn about food safety principles, hazard analysis, and preventive controls.
• Work under the guidance of experienced PCQIs to implement preventive controls.

1. Hazard Analysis Support:

• Assist in conducting hazard analyses for different products at the facility.
• Learn to identify and assess potential hazards associated with food processing.

1. Record Keeping Assistance:

• Learn to maintain accurate records related to the Food Safety Plan and verification activities.
• Assist in organizing and documenting preventive control measures.

1. Training Participation:

• Participate in training sessions to enhance understanding of food safety practices.
• Contribute to the training of personnel on basic food safety principles.

1. Assistance in Incident Response:

• Learn to develop procedures for responding to incidents related to food safety.
• Support the implementation of corrective actions as directed.

Entry-Level PCQI Qualifications:

1. Education (Nice to have):

• Associate degree in a related field (food science, microbiology, or a related discipline).

1. Training and Certifications (Must have):

• HACCP & SQFI Certification
• Participation in PCQI course.

1. Experience:

• Basic understanding of food safety principles.

Requirements for Entry-Level PCQI Job Applicant:

1. Training:

• Completion of basic food safety training programs (HACCP, SQFI, and PCQI).

1. Experience:

• Familiarity with basic food safety concepts.

1. Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
• Motivation to learn and apply hazard analysis and preventive controls.

1. Communication Skills:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and work collaboratively.
• Bilingual - HUGE advantage!!
