Description Full Job Description – SQF Practitioner Position Title: SQF Practitioner Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager Alternate in Case of Absence: Director of QHSE Position Summary The SQF Practitioner is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Safe Quality Food (SQF) program. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company food safety and quality standards. Designated by senior management, the SQF Practitioner has the authority and responsibility to oversee the integrity of the SQF system, lead certification efforts, and foster a culture of food safety throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enforce all company and customer food safety and quality standards across warehouse operations. Develop, implement, and update food safety policies and procedures in accordance with Taylor, customer, regulatory, and SQF requirements. Manage vendor and supplier contracts for materials utilized within the warehouse to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Train, educate, and supervise employees on food safety and quality policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee food safety training records. Oversee and maintain the Pest Control Program and Sanitation Program. Ensure compliance with HACCP principles and maintain knowledge of the CAPA system (Corrective and Preventive Action). Monitor operations for food safety and quality issues; report and escalate concerns to the appropriate stakeholders. Administer and maintain the work order system and maintenance schedule to ensure facility compliance with safety and operational requirements. Support and participate in SQF audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections. Qualifications Designated SQF Practitioner by senior management, meeting SQF Code requirements. In-depth knowledge of SQF standards, HACCP, and food safety regulations. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to train and coach employees at all levels. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Experience managing pest control, sanitation, and preventive maintenance programs preferred. Prior experience in warehouse or food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
