We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MSSQL DBA to join our team and play a vital role in safeguarding the integrity and performance of our data infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases (2008-2022) to ensure optimal availability, security, and performance.
Masterfully configure and maintain High Availability (HA) solutions, including AlwaysOn Availability Groups, for seamless disaster recovery.
Implement robust replication strategies for efficient data synchronization across environments.
Apply thorough patching procedures and execute database upgrades with minimal downtime.
Lead database migrations to newer versions, ensuring smooth data transfer and minimal disruption.
Leverage your expertise in SSIS (Integration Services), SSRS (Reporting Services), and SSAS (Analysis Services) to streamline data workflows and reporting.
Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and enhance performance.
Enforce strict security compliance measures to protect sensitive data.
Implement robust backup, restore, and recovery models for disaster preparedness.
Configure and administer cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure, etc.) for scalability and flexibility.
Utilize scripting languages (shell script, Windows batch files) to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in MSSQL database administration (2008-2022).
Strong working knowledge of HA, AlwaysOn Availability Groups, replication, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
In-depth expertise in SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Oracle is a plus.
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues.
A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to database optimization.
Experience implementing and maintaining security compliance procedures.
Solid understanding of backup, restore, and recovery models.
Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in a scripting language for database automation.
Excellent communication and documentation skills
