ROLE SUMMARY The position of the SQL Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions; creating and maintaining key organizational reports and data models and supporting the organizations growing analytical needs. The SQL Developer is also responsible for ensuring high levels of availability through support functions and in-depth testing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Translate business needs into technical specifications in order to develop and implement robust, automated solutions for extracting, transforming, normalizing and integrating information from disparate data sources. Design, build and deploy business intelligence solutions including dashboards, reports and data extracts. Develop comprehensive views, functions, and procedures to support data analytics and reporting functions. Document solutions and maintain information libraries and data dictionaries. Create and manage ETL processes to automate and support integration between applications. Collaborate with Business Process & Integration Manager and Analyst to define reporting requirements. Support ad hoc business data requests by understanding requirements and developing queries/ SSRS reporting to present necessary data. Stay up-to-date on the latest Technologies, Processes and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience 3 years experience with MS SQL Server (2012 or greater); T-SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI and SAP Business Objects. Experience using dynamic SQL, Triggers, Functions, Stored Procedures, Constraints and Flow Control. Strong understanding of data modeling, Query Optimization and enterprise database concepts. 3 years banking industry experience with strong knowledge of lending/deposit product CERTIFICATIONS Not applicable KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required Knowledge & Skills: Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI) Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
