REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering (or equivalent work experience)
  • Ability to develop applications using object-oriented programming languages such as:
  • C#
  • JavaScript

VB.NET

  • Experience developing web applications with frameworks like ASP.NET
  • Experience using Dev-Express is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Writing/maintaining/optimizing complex stored procedures
  • Developing user defined functions, table triggers, complex joins, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes used for data migration
  • Understanding of coding methods and best practices
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Understanding of the application development lifecycle
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborator - willing to put forth the effort for the betterment of the team
  • Experience in project management, including how to work with deadlines and how to estimate the duration of a project

Responsibilities

PRIMARY ROLE AND DUTIES

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Information Systems (IS), this position will participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of software applications and assist the team with daily operations. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage the implementation of new applications to support the strategic goals of the company
  • Evaluate and select software development tools and platforms
  • Develop strategic plans to define software solutions and platform requirements for current and future needs
  • Plan and implement software projects and allocate resources to accomplish those projects
  • Investigate and troubleshoot various system issues to determine the program and/or process changes required to resolve the issues
  • Assist with projects to upgrade and revise the company websites
  • Assist with testing various software upgrades
  • Develop new systems to streamline business processes, facilitate new improvements, support compliance, and increase profitability for Cornerstone
  • Communicate effectively through meetings, reports, and presentations while identifying progress, challenges, solutions, and recommendations for all responsibilities provided above
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
