Responsibilities:

- Supporting the design and implementation of relational and NoSQL databases

- Performing core database administration tasks, including upgrades, patching, performance tuning, backups, troubleshooting, and support

- Collaborating with application teams to test, optimize, and troubleshoot database-driven applications

- Participating in daily operational tasks impacting core IT processes and systems

- Creating scripts and tools to automate recurring database tasks (not a development role)

- Monitoring database environments (production, test, development) to ensure performance, scalability, and availability

- Supporting the deployment of services/applications in on-premises and cloud environments

- Contributing to company-wide initiatives for security, audits, and compliance

- Guiding and supporting junior DBAs on best practices and current developments

- Ensuring professional communication in all collaborative situations

- Participating in on-call duty and providing occasional support outside of regular working hours to meet SLAs
