Job Description We are seeking a SQM Engineer – Global Category Stamping to join our team in Prai, Malaysia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of stamped components from global suppliers, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards across our supply chain. Develop and implement supplier quality management strategies for the global stamping category Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications Analyze supplier performance data and implement corrective actions to address quality issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier quality problems and drive continuous improvement Manage supplier relationships and communicate quality requirements effectively Develop and maintain quality management documentation, including procedures and reports Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve supplier performance Participate in new product development projects, ensuring supplier quality is considered from the outset Stay current with industry trends and best practices in supplier quality management and stamping technologies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) Extensive knowledge of AIAG requirements, Quality Tools & Lean Manufacturing (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001, Six Sigma, 8D management & SPC). Rich experiences in continuous improvement, industrial engineering, production and escalation management. Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques. Advanced English (Fluent, written and spoken), ready for technical discussions and negotiations with suppliers, work effectively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams. Computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Minitab or equivalent, Visio) Willingness to travel in Domestic and International from working time. Knowledge of Manufacturing processes: sheet metal, wire, stamping, forming, cutting, bending, welding, riveting, plating/coating, technical cleanliness, Marking / Traceability, AOI system, functional testing, assembly's technologies. Analytic and structured approach, result oriented, decision-making ability. Self-assured, self-driven, leadership, willingness to take responsibility, team spirit, ability to work under pressure.
