The Position Squad Lead - Ophthalmology The Ophthalmology Squad Lead is responsible for setting and executing the Outcome Based Plan. Ophthalmology in India is a critical component of the India portfolio priorities today and in the future and our ambitions for positive patient outcomes are extensive. The Squad Lead is the accountable person for delivering on our Ophthalmology therapy area ambition(s) in the cluster and this role requires strong Visionary, Architect, Catalyst and Coaching capabilities. Key responsibilities: The Squads will focus on system shaping, partnership priorities and driving execution excellence which will in turn define what work needs to be delivered. Squad leads are empowered with, and E2E accountable for, creating and delivering value propositions to our customers, including defining work packages (incl. start & end date, resource & investment requirements), optimal working models (e.g. commissioning of work vs. execution within squad) & for executing/overseeing work in alignment with Disease Area Strategy and close collaboration with Disease Area Squad and Key Account Managers under the supervision of Cluster Heads. Preferred Ophthalmology therapy area experience i as well as a track record of effective people leadership in functional and/or network teams. Customer facing experience in Pharmaceutical healthcare (ideally in Ophthalmology) Providing inspirational leadership in setting the vision and strategic ambition for the cluster and assuming overall accountability for the delivery for this vision/ambition Creating an environment where diverse technical disciplines can align, develop and execute in order to pursue the cluster/affiliate/disease area North Star ambition Leadership coaching of PJPs, peers and more broadly as required, to ensure individuals and teams are developing and growing in line with their passion and the needs of the Organisation Acting as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics and safety; putting patients at the centre of all actions by consistent business behaviour that complies with applicable laws, industry codes and Roche’s Code of Conduct. Responsible for co-creating and executing strategic partnerships to improve penetration of Roche innovation in Corporate accounts and other important regional accounts Ensuring PJP’s purpose/vision, goals, strategy, planning and execution (including investment) are aligned to both DA squad AND Cluster Priorities Partnering with the broader affiliate (including Disease Area Squad, Key Account Managers, Cluster Enabling functions etc) to ensure appropriate strategic alignment and required customized modifications Fostering collaboration and expertise-sharing across the organisation to remove silos and duplication, ensure efficient use of similar skill-sets, and to ultimately support common pursuit of the North Star Who we are A healthier future drives us to innovate. Responsibilities
