Description
Sr. Accountant This position prepares journal entries, reconciles ledger accounts, and analyzes transaction to ensure accuracy of financial statements as well as provide meaningful insights into business operations.  RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Manage asset accounting subledger and reconciliation to the general ledger * Perform asset record setup, capitalization, depreciation, and disposals in NetSuite * Aggregate reports for vehicle sale proceeds and costs of sales and analyze for intercompany elimination entries * Apply accounting knowledge and skills to business and system processes in order to prepare appropriate ledger entries and analyze financial results for both operational and GAAP sets of books * Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Team to ensure alignment and reconciliation of assets recorded with vendor bills processed * Track and manage assigned areas of the financial close process  * Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for completeness and accuracy * Research, interpret, and explain activity in financial accounts * Perform monthly variance and financial analysis to identify issues and provide meaningful insights to business owners * Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. * Identify, analyze, and implement improvements to processes.  * Cross-train within the accounting department to ensure knowledge sharing and back up for other accounting procedures to include management of the asset subledger system and reconciliations  QUALIFICATIONS:   * Bachelor's degree in Accounting required * Minimum two year of Accounting experience  * Proficiency in medium sized accounting systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar system strongly preferred * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products with an intermediate level of proficiency with Excel  * Proven ability to work with minimal direction, as well as be resourceful and independent in solving problems * Proven ability to evaluate data, identify trends and provide analysis  * Strong computer and business solutions software skills * Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels in the organization * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work * Hybrid work schedule with two work from home days per week after training is completed.  Drug Free Employer
