Description American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Sr. Accountant for our Jefferson City, MO location. This position will report to the Plant Controller. Responsibilities for this position include: · Assist with month-end close · Assist with special project and reports · Desire to be a Controller · Inventory costing and control · Full understanding of P&L, balance sheet · Deep understanding of fully absorbed cost accounting, with experience in building up and utilizing fully absorbed manufacturing rates, thorough variance analysis to standard costs · Experience in manufacturing ERP usage, with implementation and ERP upgrade experience a plus · Responsibility for maintaining bill of materials and product costing data in ERP system · Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement · Proactively evaluate and recommend productivity improvements using either financial or non-financial KPI’s · Development and support of reliable internal control processes and procedures · Timely and accurate completion of assigned monthly closing processes · Responsible for preparing and delivering daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of key analytical metrics · Actively participate in financial planning, annual budgeting, and forecasting processes · Provides analytics that anticipate change and drive proactive decision-making processes · Manage capital planning, approval process and ROI tracking · Ability to work cross functionally with leadership across plant and other business units Requirements Minimum Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting · 1-2 years’ experience · Highly motivated and results driven · High attention to detail · Proficient MS Office Skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Technical Writing Skills Essential Job Requirements: · •At least 18 years of age. · •Eligible to work in the United States of America · •Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen & Authorize Background Check We are committed to the following: · Providing a safe and healthy workplace · Consistently meeting customer requirements for quality of products and services. · Continuously improving our processes and quality management system. · Providing products and services on time. · Aiming to enhance customer satisfaction.
