Description

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a Senior Accountant with strong expertise in manufacturing accounting to support our client in Torrance on a hybrid bases for a 3+ month engagement. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong grasp of financial reporting, cost analysis, and general ledger management. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate across multiple locations to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record journal entries to achieve accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Utilize Oracle and Essbase systems to manage the general ledger and retrieve financial data.
  • Conduct detailed account and subledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and review financial statements, ensuring they adhere to established accounting principles.
  • Analyze and manage subledger data, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory, to maintain alignment with the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with various locations to understand financial charges, allocations, and underlying data drivers.
  • Lead cost allocation analyses and identify areas for improved efficiency in cost-sharing processes.
  • Support month-end close activities to ensure deadlines are met and reports are accurate.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Expertise in journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial statement generation.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, Essbase, and other ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed reconciliations across accounts and subledgers.
  • Strong understanding of cost allocation processes and financial efficiency strategies.
  • Experience with month-end close procedures and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and locations.
