We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team at a non-profit organization. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting essential accounting functions. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial operations.

• Manage month-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries.
• Oversee general ledger activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare annual financial reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support ad hoc financial projects and analyses.
• Monitor accounting activities for compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Prior non-profit experience
• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes and resolving discrepancies.
• Familiarity with annual financial reporting requirements and standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• ERP experience with systems like Intacct or NetSuite preferred
