Location: This position will be onsite at our corporate offices in Allen, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth area).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Key member of Controllership function at Sol-Ark. Will apply GAAP while performing all Controllership activities.
  • Monitor the entry of transactions in accounting system and will perform daily, weekly and monthly routines to ensure transactions are properly recorded in general ledger accounts, including, but not limited to, cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Prepare and enter payroll journal entries, allocations and adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll liability trial balance accounts.
  • Reporting Capital Expenditures.
  • Perform Credit Card entries and reconciliations.
  • Enter accounting journals as necessary.
  • Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts to ensure they are adequately supported and documented.
  • Prepare and enter regular entries as required by the Company’s Accounting Policies.
  • Execute assigned monthly closing processes in timely fashion.
  • Ensure all important controls over accounting entries are designed and operating.
  • Support the annual financial audit performed by external auditors.
  • Complete assigned balance sheet and income statement analytics and explain reasons for large variances.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-7 years of accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP system – HIGHLY PREFERRED!
  • Experience with Concur (Travel/Expense Management system) = HIGHLY PREFERRED!
  • Experience identifying risks to assess whether controls are operating correctly.
  • Financial statement knowledge including connectivity between Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements in addition to disclosure requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with research and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to research general ledger entries and construct corrections.
  • Excellent with Excel (can perform complex functions).
