Description The Sr Accountant is responsible for full-cycle accounting across multiple small LLC entities, including a preschool, a real estate holding company, and a software partnership. This role owns the monthly close process, financial reporting, and coordination with external tax advisors, ensuring accurate and timely financials to support business decision-making. Essential Job Functions/Duties: Own full-cycle accounting for multiple LLC entities with differing business models Manage month-end and year-end close processes for each entity Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet schedules Track and reconcile intercompany transactions Prepare and analyze financial statements, including variance analysis and executive summaries Maintain fixed asset and loan schedules Support revenue tracking across business lines (tuition, rental income, software/partnership revenue) Prepare year-end packages and coordinate with external CPA (including K-1 support) Assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking Collaborate with team members responsible for collections and accounts payable to identify, escalate and resolve any issues or concerns. Implement process improvements and internal controls Support ad hoc reporting and financial analysis Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant Experience working with tax CPAs a plus Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Efficient time management skills to ensure compliance with established deadlines Proactive, results-oriented operating style with ability to identify issues and seek resolutions Excellent written communication skills Strong oral communication and collaborating skills, articulates views in a clear and concise manner Experience in small business environments and QuickBooks accounting software
