Description POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations. This is a great opportunity to expand your accounting and leadership skills and play a key role in shaping our department. This key leadership role is responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, maintenance of a robust system of accounting records, and the implementation of comprehensive controls and budgets to mitigate risk. The Sr. Accounting Manager ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and supports strategic financial decision-making. This position reports directly to the VP of Accounting and Finance. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Oversee the daily operations of the corporate accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports, including internal/external financial statements, annual audits, and budgets. Manage finance and accounting activities, including accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, and cash control. Lead the annual budget preparation process by developing schedules and consolidating/analyzing financial data. Review and analyze revenues, commissions, and expenses to ensure accurate monthly recording. Perform monthly account reconciliations and support the month-end/year-end close process. Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements; identify and explain budget variances. Maintain and improve internal control documentation and monitoring practices. Prepare and summarize monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and other key reports. In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong experience in financial analysis and modeling. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across departments in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external partners. Experience managing general ledger functions and overseeing monthly/annual close processes.
