As a Sr Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will leverage your expertise in advanced hardware design and development to create innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the aerospace industry. You will play a key role in driving the design, testing, and validation of cutting-edge hardware systems, ensuring high performance and reliability in complex aerospace applications.       You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a Hybrid work schedule. * Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.       In this role, you will impact the future of aerospace technology by developing advanced hardware that enhances aircraft performance, safety, and efficiency. Help to build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.       KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Support design efforts for test equipment for the Factories. * Apply technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge to Factory Test Equipment (FTE). * Analyze hardware failures with assistance from Software engineers in pinpointing failure modes. * Translate troubleshooting solutions into design improvement ideas for the FTE. * Participate in design activities for FTE via circuit design (analog and digital), schematic and BOM generation, board layout. * Generate programmable logic as appropriate for board-level designs. * Use Laboratory facilities to test and understand prototypes and actual Factory Test Equipment during engineering development tasks. * Integration of test solution designs into working systems for the Factory. * Participate in cost estimates for new design tasks. * Participate in design reviews during development of Factory Test Equipment projects. * Interface with vendors and suppliers for BOM development and acquisition of parts for prototyping or build. * Oversee the build and checkout of Factory Test Equipment. * Generate engineering documents for the FTE – schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, specifications, etc.   Relocation support may be provided.
