As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace in Puerto Rico, you will contribute to and/or lead projects in various stages of development, working with teams of engineers and interfacing with customers and production. This position will report to the Senior Engineering Manager, and work out of the Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location.
The candidate will be a System Engineer that has had a variety of system engineering assignments requiring use and application of advanced engineering methods and tools. Demonstrated experience or ability to learn System Level integration of Navigation systems and associated products required. Robust and demonstrated Project and Systems Engineering skills are desired. The programs will have aggressive schedules and tight but adequate budgets to be managed. In addition, active risk and opportunity management are desired.
The candidate should have participated in developing written communications suitable for customer submission (i.e., white papers, conference papers, review presentations, etc.) The Systems Engineer will be a major contributor to technical proposals and other documents and will need to have a working knowledge of navigation systems as applied to our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical and project leadership to Inertial Guidance and Navigation Systems within the ES organization.
  • Requirement generation, test, and analysis of inertial sensors (gyros and accelerometers) in inertial navigation and GPS systems
  • Meeting technical, schedule and cost requirements for the assigned projects
  • Interfacing with both commercial and military customers in technical program definition and execution
  • Experience interacting with customers, suppliers and inter-divisional peers on routine matters
  • Act as a mentor to lower-level engineers

Travel, up to 15% of the time, may be expected.
