Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of the development and implementation of a Regional Engagement Plan (REP) and project-specific municipal engagement plans, including identification of strategic opportunities to support that reflect the interests of the company and benefit the communities in which we operate.
  • Protect and advance Enbridge’s reputation as a trusted corporate citizen and community partner.
  • Build, own and maintain relationships with municipal leaders and key stakeholders, and work with partners within and outside Public Affairs to develop engagement strategies, approaches, and tools to improve efficiencies and minimize risk related to Municipal and Stakeholder Engagement.
  • Support the development of regulatory strategies to meet regulatory requirements and participate in formal regulatory process where required. Meet and implement regulatory requirements in consultation / engagement and detail the outcomes.
  • Contribute to regional engagement knowledge and support of Community Investment policies and governance.
  • Work with multiple teams to find opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of delivery of supplemental partner outreach and other activities and assist partner engagement in the field with individuals, communities, and local governments in support of business goals and project objectives.
  • May serve as part of the crisis communications & response team (CCRT) during operational incidents or emergencies and non-operational events such as a reputational crisis. If identified as a member of the CCRT, training will be provided.
