SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Reporting to the VP of R&D, the Sr. Agile Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional software initiatives in a healthcare technology environment. This role combines Agile facilitation with project management responsibilities, supporting multiple Scrum and Kanban teams while aligning delivery with strategic initiatives tracked through traditional roadmap planning. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong Agile expertise and proficiency in both Azure DevOps and Jira with the ability to provide consistent Agile practices, accurate metric tracking, and effective internal collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, including Agile delivery in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Experience leading multiple Agile teams using Kanban & Scrum
  • Experience working with both software development & data engineering teams
  • Strong command of Azure DevOps and Jira, including board administration and metric reporting
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, SDLC, and project management best practices
  • Excellent facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry or other regulated environments
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and the handling of PHI
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, as needed

Responsibilities
  • Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) across multiple Scrum and Kanban teams
  • Support Agile maturity by coaching teams on principles, frameworks, and continuous improvement practices
  • Track and report on both Scrum and Kanban metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, throughput, spillover, unplanned work) using Azure DevOps and Jira
  • Collaborate with POs to ensure well-groomed backlogs & achievable sprint goals
  • Ensure process adherence with PMs & Scrum Masters from contractor-led teams
  • Initiate, plan, execute, control, and close complex projects with multiple workstreams and dependencies
  • Define project scope, timelines, & deliverables; develop & maintain detailed project plans
  • Identify, assess, & mitigate risks; create contingency plans and escalate issues as needed
  • Coordinate internal cross-team collaboration across development, QA, & TechOps teams
  • Lead release planning and execution, including task coordination, production readiness, post-release retrospectives
  • Facilitate war rooms for production issues and coordinate root cause analysis efforts
  • Administer and optimize Azure DevOps Boards and Jira projects, workflows, and dashboards
  • Implement and refine automations, custom fields, and reporting tools to enhance team efficiency and traceability
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation including sprint artifacts, release notes, and process documentation
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, to support the effective operation of the department and the company
