Overview Job Title: Senior Analyst – Reinsurance Overview Join our Rating Advisory team in Bangalore. You'll work with reinsurance clients and brokers, providing critical insights into insurance company performance and market trends. This role is your chance to make a real difference by helping clients navigate financial challenges and opportunities. How You’ll Make an Impact In this role, you’ll dive deep into financial statements to uncover strengths, weaknesses, and capital adequacy challenges. You’ll analyse industry trends and rating agency perspectives to provide actionable insights. Your work will also involve creating studies on industry peers and developing new tools to improve reporting. By identifying companies with reinsurance or capital challenges, you’ll help Gallagher target potential clients and deliver meaningful solutions. About You Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: A strong understanding of financial statements and insurance accounting (statutory/GAAP). Experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel. Knowledge of Power BI and SQL is a plus. The ability to explain complex data in simple terms and collaborate effectively with teams. A master’s degree in finance or a related field. How you'll make an impact Responsibilities: Analyse Financial Statements: Review insurance company financials to identify strengths, weaknesses, and capital adequacy challenges. Use this analysis to provide actionable insights. Monitor Industry Trends: Stay updated on market developments, rating agency views, and industry trends to guide decision-making. Develop Insights for Clients: Conduct studies on client peers and industry performance to deliver critical intelligence. Support Business Targeting: Identify companies with reinsurance, capital, or rating challenges that Gallagher can assist. Data Analysis: Work with data segmented by business, industry, geography, and other relevant factors to uncover opportunities. Financial Modelling: Build and interpret financial and capital models to support client strategies. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of new tools, reports, and processes to enhance team efficiency and client outcomes. About you Qualifications Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. Proficiency in financial statement analysis and insurance accounting (statutory/GAAP). Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI and SQL is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
