JOB SUMMARY:

The Plan Operations Analytics Group at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) is looking for an experienced individual to fill a permanent, full-time Senior Data Scientist role for the Analytics Team. The team delivers insights, analytics, reporting, data governance and subject matter expertise in data warehouse knowledge.
The team’s principles are focused on delivering true stakeholder value in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. They value challenging the status quo, innovative solutions, team collaboration and practicality.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Able and comfortable in working with all levels of management to understand, and when needed negotiate requirements and priorities
  • Solid communication skills to interact across organizations and offer insights to the business.
  • Background in mathematics, data analytics and reporting technologies
  • Knowledge of Excel, R, Python and MS SQL Server; familiarity with analytics tools specifically Power BI
  • Knowledge of relational database structures and applications.
  • Competency in agile software development
