Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to join our Finance team. This role supports Gap Inc. Global Technology Solutions (GTS) teams and is a critical contributor to the monthly forecasting process, variance analysis, and monthly close activities. The ideal candidate will also collaborate cross-functionally with various business partners and key stakeholders to drive strategic insights, support decision-making, and ensure all financial activities are accurately captured and reflected in our financials.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead and support the development of the monthly financial forecast.
  • Analyze actual results versus forecast and prior periods, identifying key drivers and variances.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and refine projections.
  • Provide detailed explanations for variances against forecast, budget, and prior periods.
  • Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
  • Review contracts and provide financial guidance and forecast implications.
  • Highlight trends, risks, and cost optimization opportunities to leadership.
