"The purpose of this position is development and deployment of the category strategy for Copper , Aluminum , Fab- copper & Special metals suppliers to drive optimal cost outs and supplier rationalization. Develop, deploy, and manage all related contracts.Collaborate with other functions (operations, quality, logistics, engineering) for resourcing and rationalization.This position will play a lead role in coordinating and execution of Neck Supplier Management startegy for ES America and EMEA region for mechanical commodity & components with the Global Category Managers and business units for Direct materials. " "1. target to plan min 2% contribution to a overall cost out goal of category through project execution (Tail Spend) 2. 3. Ensure category strategies are aligned with latest internal and external environmental, market and economic factors. Build and maintain organizational consensus and alignment to the category strategy. 4. Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier agreements, cost negotiations and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 5. Work projects through ramp up and successful launch. 6. Collaborate with Engineering on part rationalization opportunities 7. Responsible to maintain supply continuity via risk identification and mitigation. 8. Work with internal teams including but not limited to ESSP, Should Cost, Project Management, TCO, Risk and Compliance team to achieve enterprise SCM goal. 9. 10. Work with category managers to establish and execute category strategy for middle & tail spend suppliers/parts. 11. Ensure program milestones are met as mutually established by the customer and GSCM COE 12. 13. Provide guidance to internal teams on executing the global category strategy for middle and tail spend suppliers 14. Lead governance review meetings on behalf on GSCM COE for respective categories. Single point of contact for assigned category for GSCM COE for Category Leaders." Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering preferably Mechanical/Production/Industrial.CPSM preferred Minimum 8+ years' of experience as a commodity specialist for one of the commodities (Casting, Forging,Fabricated parts, Electrical & Electronic Components, Stampings, Metals-Ferrous/Non Ferrous) Commodity experience of supplier development & category strategy "- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) - Ability to communicate clearly & effectively in person , via e-mail and over phone - Proficient in the development and tracking of internal metrics - Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills. - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from associates to the leadership team. - Quick response to deadlines - Data Analytics- Ability to identify opportunities driving economic value based on data analysis"
