Job Description The purpose of this Houston, TX-based position is to address legal matters within specific departments and subject matter areas, including the support of critical strategic and tactical legal functions within Pilot Energy. Perform negotiation and review of over the road, supply, transportation, operating agreements, terminal agreements, non-disclosure agreements, government bids, term sheets and various other agreements as directed by legal. Conduct initial redlines of documents for strategic transactions and guidance to relevant stakeholders, project development and other fuel and energy solutions transactions as directed by legal. Provide legal support to the fuel & alternative fuel business lines, including redlines, review of contracts and drafting and negotiating customer, vendor, supplier, and subcontractor agreements. Lead and oversee ad hoc projects assigned by legal. Engage internal stakeholders (Business Development, Legal, Communications, Credit, Operations, KYC, Accounting, Insurance, Data Governance, etc.) as needed. Research regulatory and legal issues such as 45(Z) tax credits, government bids, or other issues as needed. Participate in development of form agreements, contract playbooks and contract lifecycle management program. Provide oversight and guidance to other Analysts on the team. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, a Juris Doctor (JD) or Master’s in business administration, finance or related field, preferred. Minimum four years’ prior experience in a legal department preferred.
