RSM CYBER AND DATA PROTECTION – CYBERSECURITY NETWORK ARCHITECT
To address the most critical needs of our clients, the RSM US LLP Cyber and Data Protection group, comprised of more than 350 professionals, is looking to further expand our growing team. This group includes experienced consultants located throughout the world dedicated to helping clients with preventing, detecting, responding, and recovering to cyber threats that may affect their critical systems and data. We serve a diverse client base within a variety of industries, and we are relied upon to provide expertise within areas of cyber testing, architecture, governance and compliance, digital forensics, and transformation.
We are seeking a visionary cybersecurity Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge business goals with technical execution, ensuring seamless integration across the entire IT landscape. You will be an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality cybersecurity solutions for client’s network infrastructure for on-premises and cloud platforms. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for client engagement and relationship management while overseeing execution of critical cybersecurity architecture solutions by identifying, creating, and communicating risk, mitigation options, and solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of client goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-5+ years of experience in cyber engineering, technology or an architect role within a complex business environment
- Hands-on experience with email security products like Proofpoint and Anomly
- Experience working across numerous major traditional and cloud network products
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing network-based zero-trust architectures
- Ability to solution engineering and architecture designs to enhance network cybersecurity
- Experience performing firewall configuration assessments and audits
- Knowledge of the intricacies related to various cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53, ISO, HIPAA, SOX, PCI and state privacy laws
- Strong working understanding of government contracting regulations like FISMA, CMMC and FedRAMP
- Experience translating cybersecurity challenges, capabilities, and mitigation techniques to an executive audience from a business risk perspective
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player and strong partner
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction in a fast-paced environment as well as collaborate effectively while maintaining an “options before obstacles” mindset
- Proven success in cross training and managing a team of future architects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, SABSA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
- Expertise in cloud services, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, the related technology including their cyber implications, and implementation experience
- Ability to design, deploy, and configure Microsoft Sentinel to meet organizational security monitoring and compliance needs
- Experience creating data connectors, analytics rules, workbooks, and playbooks for log ingestion, correlation, and automated response
- Proven expertise in Sentinel integration with Microsoft 365 Defender, Azure services, and third-party security solutions for unified visibility
- Track record of building and maintaining custom detection queries (KQL) to identify threats and anomalous activity
- Implement incident response workflows using Sentinel SOAR capabilities to automate investigation and remediation
- Hands-on experience with various cyber tools
- Experience as an administrator, site reliability, or engineer in a hybrid cyber and IT security role

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $79,000 - $126,500
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
