MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics, business, or economics.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of GMP regulations and GDP requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience working across various cultures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle conflicting interests.
  • Availability outside office hours on an ad hoc basis.
  • Proactive approach with strong reporting skills.
  • Expertise in multiple transportation modes (parcel, air freight, road freight).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in biotech cold chain distribution and compliance.
  • Expertise in parcel transportation.
Responsibilities

As a Sr Associate Global Transportation, you will ensure efficient and GDP-compliant distribution solutions for Amgen products within the GTX scope.
You will maintain internal and external networks to drive GTX priorities and initiatives forward. Additionally, you will contribute to implementing outstanding transportation and cold chain solutions.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Ensure supply continuity, meet service levels, and stay within budget in a GDP-compliant manner.
  • Develop, select, and implement transportation solutions under manager mentorship.
  • Plan, establish, and lead distribution lanes using existing shipping solutions.
  • Maintain operational relationships and conduct regular performance/business reviews with Transport Service Providers (TSPs).
  • Lead transportation-related performance metrics.
  • Establish and supervise service-level agreements with TSPs.
  • Support internal stakeholders in escalating issues with TSPs.
  • Identify areas for improvement in transportation processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality team to ensure compliance.
  • Act as a GTX Subject Matter Expert in cross-functional projects.
  • Implement agreed transportation process changes in close collaboration with stakeholders.
