Manages processes and examines accounts for tax return preparation, reconciles tax information, and supports audit processes, projects, and research activities. Provides analysis in tax forecasting and planning activities. Key Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare and file monthly GST returns along with annual GST compliances Calculate the monthly GST liability and ensure discharging the same within statutory timeline Input tax reconciliation between data appearing in GSTR 2B and books of accounts and keep track on mismatched transactions Provide support during routine assessment and support with answering standard queries from tax authorities Amend GST registrations as and when required File GST refund claim, wherever required Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and assessments Follow up on legislative changes and business changes in order to ensure that the systems and/or processes are updated Support the business with determining how new tax requirements or business changes will impact GST processes Perform GST compliance process reviews periodically to identify potential issues / weaknesses Continuously work on process improvement with the GST compliance and local finance teams Participate in GST trainings / GST update sessions hosted for the GST compliance team Communication, collaboration, and coordination with other members of the tax group, and business functions as appropriate and necessary Manage relationships with outside advisors Maintain database of tax policy and procedures Requirements Any graduate / postgraduate with an experience of 10 years in managing indirect tax compliances including 8 years under GST compliances. Having additional qualification MBA / diploma in taxation will be an added advantage. Experience / Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance including 8 years+ of experience under GST compliance experience Ability to identify and prioritize key opportunities and risks related to GST compliance processes Understanding of the role ERP systems play in the GST compliance process Experience with working with an ERP system (e.g. SAP) Strong oral and written English language skills required, Additional language skills a plus The position will have anticipated travel of 5% Benefits We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees and enhancing our programs when necessary.
