POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our awesome team and drive some exciting projects forward! As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data storage solutions, ensuring efficient data retrieval, and supporting data-driven applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SQL, database architecture, and data engineering.

CLOUD EXPERTISE & INNOVATION:

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Azure data services and best practices.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage new Azure features to improve data management and analytics capabilities.
  • Be a champion for innovation, seeking ways to optimize data pipelines and infrastructure for efficiency and cost-effectiveness

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with a focus on cloud data platforms.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing data pipelines on Microsoft Azure using Azure Data Factory, Function Apps and related services.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) and data modeling principles.
  • Experience with big data processing tools and technologies.
  • Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with data security, compliance, and governance best practices in the cloud.
  • Excellent documentation skills with the ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
