THE OPPORTUNITY:

Are you energized by solving complex technical puzzles in large-scale systems? We’re looking for a highly skilled Sr. Backend Engineer for our API team who excels at designing, building, and stabilizing intricate backend services. You’ll use your deep PHP/Laravel 10+ and AWS knowledge to develop and maintain critical APIs within an environment featuring both modern and legacy components. This role requires exceptional debugging skills, a focus on resilience, and the ability to navigate and improve complex, interconnected systems while leveraging modern tools like AI assistants.

• What You’ll Do: AI-Powered Development: Design, build, and test high-quality APIs (PHP/Laravel) leveraging AI tools to significantly boost productivity, ensure code quality, and accelerate problem-solving.
• Architect Scalable Solutions: Create robust, secure, and maintainable backend services and RESTful APIs for our global platform.
• Champion Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code (Unit, Integration, E2E with PHPUnit).
• Cloud & DevOps Synergy: Collaborate effectively with DevOps to implement, deploy, and optimize applications on AWS, focusing on automation and stability.
• Diagnose & Resolve: Expertly troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems, identifying root causes even in challenging environments.
• Optimize Performance: Continuously improve application speed, scalability, and resilience.
• Full Lifecycle Contribution: Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, owning features from ideation to production support.
• Collaborate & Guide: Share knowledge, mentor junior engineers, and communicate technical solutions effectively.
• On-Call Responsibility: Participate in rotation for 24/7 support of critical systems.
