Position Summary: The Sr. Backroom Lead will oversee the processing of donated goods, ensuring efficient workflow and quality control in the backroom. This role also includes some responsibilities in sales floor merchandising and display setup to enhance the shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in backroom/warehouse operations, team leadership, faith based non-profit work, and retail merchandising. Key Responsibilities: Backroom Operations: Supervise the receipt, sorting, and pricing of donated items. Ensure production quotas are met while maintaining quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized backroom environment. Implement safety and security protocols. Team Leadership: Train and oversee volunteers and staff in backroom procedures. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, in a faith based work environment. Schedule and coordinate backroom team activities. Merchandising and Displays: Collaborate with the sales floor team to create appealing merchandise displays. Assist in rotating stock and organizing the sales floor to optimize customer experience. Provide input on product placement based on inventory levels and sales trends. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years experience in backroom/warehouse operations or retail management, preferably in a faith based, non-profit thrift store environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in basic computer applications. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with pricing strategies for second-hand goods. Leadership experience in a faith based, volunteer-driven environment. Experience in visual merchandising and retail displays. Work Environment: This position operates in a backroom setting with exposure to varying temperatures and dust. It requires standing for extended periods and frequent lifting.
