We are currently looking to fill the Contract Sr. Business Analyst role for our client.

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE

• Familiarity with the operational culture of highly regulated industries
• Health Insurance industry experience is preferred

INTERACTION SKILLS

• Facilitation of group discussions on complex topics
• Exercising of leadership and influence without necessarily having authority
• Work productively with team members and stakeholders
• Negotiation and resolution of conflicts among team members and stakeholders
• Teaching and communication of business analysis concepts and ideas
• Needs to be a bit of liaison between business and vendor at times.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 5-8 years in a recent senior level Business Analyst role
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Relevant professional Business Analysis Certification(s) preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasionally stand and walk. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, writing, reviewing, and maintaining business and technical requirements and related artifacts for healthcare insurance related application development initiatives, while collaborating with team members. This is more a Functional B/A position. They should exhibit systems thinking as they work through requirements, typically with the business.
