SR BUSINESS ANALYST:

Procom is searching for a Sr Business Analyst for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.

SR BUSINESS ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Business Analyst to join our team to support business transformation initiatives through process analysis, requirements gathering, and data analysis. The project involves improving the current state and designing/building a future state, with a focus on financial reporting and business unit allocations.

SR BUSINESS ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of business analysis experience in a Senior capacity
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data validation)
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow including creating reports and building dashboards
  • Proven experience acting as a liaison between business and IT/development teams
  • Demonstrated proficiency in process mapping and process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

SR BUSINESS ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with data reconciliation and gap analysis
  • Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • High-level documentation skills (process flows, user stories, BRDs, etc.)
  • Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or information science-related field and CBAP preferred
Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret data from multiple Excel sources to support financial reporting and business unit allocations
  • Identify data inconsistencies or gaps, investigate root causes, and propose actionable solutions to ensure data integrity
  • Document business requirements, data flows, and process improvements
  • Act as the primary conduit between business stakeholders and development teams
  • Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate them into actionable specifications for technical teams
  • Support the transition of manual reporting processes into automated, exportable ServiceNow dashboards
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, coordination, issue tracking, and sign-off with business stakeholders
