Job Summary
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will help our communities thrive by serving as a critical business partner who provides relevant and actionable information to drive strategic decision-making and support operational and strategic goals across the organization. The ideal candidate has experience combining strong analytical and technical skills with business acumen and excellent communication abilities. Experience in healthcare, particularly with value-based care (VBC) models and initiatives, is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders, operational teams, clinicians, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Translate business challenges into analytical questions and provide relevant, actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other analyses that provide visibility into organizational performance across clinical, operational, and financial domains.
  • Present findings and insights in a compelling and accessible way to non-technical stakeholders, including physicians and executives.
  • Support financial month-end close reporting from the athena system
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Collaborate with the Data Integration team to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and operational relevance of all data assets using standard quality assurance (QA) processes, data validation techniques, and reconciliation practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in healthcare data analytics and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, data analytics, data science, healthcare informatics, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a BI, data analytics, or financial analysis role, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities; ability to explain complex problems and data insights in simple, understandable terms to non-technical stakeholders, including physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT).
  • Experience with data science programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and developing and deploying predictive models. Understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical terminologies.
  • Certification in data analytics or relevant healthcare informatics certifications.
