Job Description

  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated, qualified according to SOPs
  • Label equipment with the latest calibration/maintenance labels.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues.
  • Technical knowledge of repairs for laboratory instruments
  • Participate in new instrument requirement determination activities.
  • Develop instrument qualification documents including but not limited to:
  • IQ, OQ and PQ Protocols
  • Execute qualification protocols.
  • Maintain calibration and preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Develop and formalize calibration procedures ensuring all laboratory instruments have calibration SOPs.
  • Perform calibration testing in accordance with these procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on analytical instruments.
  • Monitor maintenance status of individual instruments and coordinate with external service technicians as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related biological science or equivalent in job experience.
  • 3-4 years of relevant pharmaceutical lab experience with emphasis on instrumental methods are a must for this position.
  • Prior technical experience in a bio/chemistry related role would be preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated Laboratory environment or pharmaceutical company, but also with implementation and support experience with laboratory instrumentation.
  • Prepare IQ, OQ and PQ Protocols and Reports
