Description
Tools & Technology Maintain and update construction trade labor datasets, including demand forecasts, cost models, and market availability dashboards. Utilize analytical tools and technology to organize, analyze, and visualize labor market data for reporting and decision support. Support the automation and streamlining of data collection and reporting processes. Analyze labor demand, availability, cost, and risk data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Support the should-cost team and Category Supplier Managers with data-driven insights for bid and change order assessments. Collaborate with prime builders (GC, CM, EPC, etc.), trade contractors, local union and merit-based organizations, industry, community, and government partners to gather and validate market data. Support cross-functional initiatives by providing timely and relevant analytics to empower business decisions. Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners for effective data collection and market assessments. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, market intelligence, cost modeling, or construction labor analytics (preferred but not strictly required). A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field). Proven experience in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling), experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools, familiarity with SQL or database querying, and exposure to ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and integration. Experience with demand forecasts, cost models, and market intelligence reports. Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., prime builders, trade contractors, unions, government, and community organizations). Strong business acumen and data fluency skills, leveraging insights to support data-driven decisions and risk mitigation.
