We are dedicated to delivering a "WOW" experience to our customers and team members, with a commitment to always do the right thing and challenge the status quo.     The Sr. Catalog Data Specialist is responsible for the accurate and effective management of automotive product information across multiple platforms, ensuring that product data is complete, consistent, and accurate, directly supporting the integrity and optimization of the product catalog.   Key responsibilities include regular updates, audits, and quality control of product content, as well as troubleshooting data discrepancies to maintain high standards of catalog performance. The specialist will work with a range of tools, including Microsoft Excel for data organization, Power BI for analytics and reporting, and Product Information Management (PIM) systems for centralizing and managing product data. Collaboration is central to this role, as the Sr. Catalog Data Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams in eCommerce, marketing, and product development to ensure all catalog content aligns with goals and meets customer and business needs. The position reports directly to the VP, Product Data Management & eCommerce, providing a structured yet dynamic environment for growth and contribution within the catalog management team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Regularly update and maintain product information within the catalog to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and relevancy, including adding new products, updating details, and removing obsolete items. * Conduct periodic audits to identify and rectify data inconsistencies, errors, or omissions, applying quality control checks to uphold catalog standards and ensure data is reliable and uniform. * Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies by analyzing and verifying product information, collaborating with relevant teams, and using technical tools to address inconsistencies efficiently. * Use Microsoft Excel for data organization and validation, Power BI for analytics and reporting, and Product Information Management (PIM) systems for centralized data management and improved accessibility across departments. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as eCommerce, marketing, and product development to align catalog content with business strategies and customer needs, actively participating in meetings and coordinating with departments. * Ensure product data complies with company standards and external industry requirements. * Continuously assess and recommend improvements to catalog processes, organization, and data structures to enhance catalog performance and user experience, staying updated on industry best practices and identifying automation opportunities. * Prepare reports on catalog performance metrics, quality control outcomes, and content updates, maintaining thorough documentation of catalog processes, audit procedures, and issue resolutions to support team transparency and knowledge transfer. * Support the integration of new technologies or systems that improve catalog management workflows and enhance data accuracy and visibility. * Create and manage a centralized knowledge base or repository for catalog-related documentation, facilitating easy access to information for team members. * Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor catalogs to identify opportunities for product enhancement and differentiation. * Assist in the creation of marketing materials and product descriptions based on catalog data to ensure consistency across all platforms. * Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners or vendors to ensure seamless communication and data exchange related to the product catalog. * Engage in user testing for catalog updates and improvements, gathering feedback to refine processes and enhance the user experience. * Evaluate the effectiveness of catalog content and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements based on customer feedback and engagement metrics; provide reports, updates on daily activities, suggestions, and improvements to support the VP, Product Data Management & eCommerce. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Knowledge of automotive part content, with a solid understanding of industry-specific terminology * Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) systems or similar platforms * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy when managing large datasets * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear articulation of ideas and collaboration across departments. * Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. * Strong analytical skills to evaluate data trends and derive actionable insights to inform catalog management strategies. * Proactive problem-solving skills, with the capacity to troubleshoot issues related to product data and content discrepancies. * Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new technologies, maintaining productivity in a dynamic environment. * Understanding of customer needs and behaviors to enhance catalog content and improve user experience. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis functions, pivot tables, and macros; basic understanding of database management (SQL), familiarity with Power BI or ability to learn new systems. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field or equivalent work experience. * Minimum 5 years years’ experience in product information management, eCommerce or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry. * Experience in using eCommerce platforms and their use of product data and database management is a plus.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Operates primarily in an office setting.
