As a Tainan FAC Chemical Engineer, you will be crucial in expanding and maintaining gas and chemical supply systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and sustainability. You'll collaborate with a skilled team to innovate technology. Responsibilities: Plan and implement expansion projects for Bulk Gas, Specialty Gas, and Chemical Delivery Systems Manage construction tasks, ensuring alignment with SEMI standards, FM Global criteria, fire safety laws, and occupational safety mandates Lead system commissioning, acceptance testing, and handover processes Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system operation and maintenance Monitor daily system performance, solve anomalies, and implement preventive maintenance strategies Support process integration and yield improvement through system reliability enhancements Drive energy-saving, carbon reduction, and ESG-related improvement initiatives Collaborate multi-functionally with Process, Equipment, EHS, and Quality teams to ensure seamless system support for fab operations Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields Experience with SEMI S2/S8, FM Global standards, fire protection codes, and occupational safety laws Strong analytical skills in system operation, solving, and reliability improvement Proficiency in English communication and technical documentation Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in semiconductor facility systems, particularly gas and chemical supply infrastructure Experience with AutoCAD, P&ID, and SCADA/FMCS systems Experience in fab construction, expansion, or technology transfer projects Collaboration experience with gas/chemical suppliers or EPC contractors Knowledge of sustainability, ESG, and carbon footprint management About Micron Technology, Inc. Responsibilities
The Sr Chemical Engineer will plan and implement expansion projects for gas and chemical delivery systems while ensuring safety and compliance with standards. They will also monitor system performance and drive initiatives for energy-saving and sustainability improvements.
