REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience in Cisco telephony, VoIP, and unified communications engineering – Jabber, Call Manager (CUCM), Communications Manager (CME), Unity Connection (CUC)
  • Including experience supporting a telephony platform migration/transition
  • Extensive troubleshooting experience reading CUCM logs and records, diagnosing issues, providing monitoring/maintenance
  • Including experience with telephony protocols – SIP, T1, PRI
  • Hands-on experience leveraging Microsoft Telephony platform (Microsoft Teams Phone) solutions – ideally supporting integrations/migrations
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills – ability to work with customers directly, architects, and other engineering teams to support migration planning efforts
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance (federal background check w/ fingerprinting) – active Public Trust or higher Security clearance preferred

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Hands on SecureLogix experience for Voice Network Security
  • Experience with large-scale telephony migration projects (Cisco → Microsoft Teams Phone)
  • Strong background supporting Government/Federal agencies in compliance-driven environments

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and support the migration of ~50,000 users from Cisco Telephony (CUCM, CME, Jabber, Unity Connection) to Microsoft Teams Phone, ensuring minimal disruption and E911 compliance.
  • Troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain Cisco telephony systems, including interpreting CUCM logs, call detail records (CDRs), and diagnosing SIP, T1, and PRI issues.
  • Collaborate with customers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to plan, test, and implement telephony transition strategies.
  • Implement and support voice network security solutions to protect enterprise telephony systems from fraud and unauthorized access.
  • Provide ongoing operational support post-migration, including endpoint provisioning, call routing, voicemail integration, and continuous system optimization.
